BYW. It looks like we are a 50-60 point club under Moyes and his team. Its possible that’s the limit of his abilities. Certainly the limit of the owners.

I think one more year to see how it pans out and then if we have the new owner we either crash and die or pick up an extra 10-15 points. Gonna need loads of money though.

Agreed then.

I'm getting too wound up over the Ramsdale incident.
We've had a few 50/50 sending offs including away at Arsenal, Chelsea and Lyon, very suspicious.
When it was us they used VAR from every angle and sent off our players all 3 occasions which cost us Prem points, fine margins for European places. Didn't even check it yesterday, convinced Fabianski is sent off for a reckless challenge if the other way round, looked like Bowen was clipped too or at least unbalanced by it. The Arsenal player would have been rolling around with their players and Arteta going nuts. Why the fuck did Bowen get up smiling and did we accept it.

Well that's kind of my point. If moyes chooses to spend that money on a striker instead of vlasic, who we absolutely didn't need, then we're probably not talking as much about the squad

.....also would have saved us spunking 30m on Vlassic as we would have been well covered at AM.

Still think a striker was a must as it would have allowed bus to rotate Antonio or switch him to LW giving us more options and a plan B, and rotation for Fornals who could play more centrally in his favoured position. Imagine Antonio & Bowen wide creating and scoring with a proper CF in the middle?
Did we really do all we could to give us the best chance the season?

Dermot gallagher on sky , just said ramsdale a yellow but quite easily a red. Bowen yellow seemed to confuse him . From 146 that looked a red all day , a strong linesman would have helped. I was on the train with loads of goodness going nuts , I got onhackney wick with a kebab from tubbys , me and this big fella in the middle of them , to be fair was quite funny , 4 brave idiots at the back having a pop at me , so hit the mouthiest one with the end my kebab, the rest of the goo ers all cheered. They all got off highbury n islington I continued to Camden meeting friends. The 4 idiots hid as they got off , rest of gooners all good natured wishing good luck Thursday , the 4 idiots then bang on the train window giving it loads as the train leaves. The women opposite on the train were so confused. Wish I'd stayed in hackney wick yesterday bloody brilliant over there yesterday so much fanny.

Decisions will always continue to go for the so called top 6 and we aren't classed as such.

Iron Duke & pedro

Both posts, abso fucking lutely

If that's salah or kane or son ramsgate would have been off and banned.
It was out of control, it was dangerous if he had caught bowen he'd have been seriously injured. His foot was off thr floor, all studs showing and at pace. Goalies aren't also known for knowing how to slide tackle safely.

It was a red all day long.

I'd be very tempted to start Noble alongside Rice on Thursday, Bowen up front, Antonio wide right, Benny wide left and Fornals central.

Bowens efficiency and conversion rate is superior to Antonio, who is only really a central threat from corners or freekicks, because that's when he's forced to stay in the penalty box. The rest of the time he's never in the right area of the pitch.

Noble seems to be playing quite well, Soucek really isn't. Benny seemed to scare their right side defender in the last game and Lanzini hasn't been good since that car crash.

The argument here isn't numbers, it's players that Moyes is happy/trusts to pick for games, on that front the squad is way too small, at a push it's probably 16. And that is all on Moyes, last window was a disaster, none signed, he'd been crowing at the start of it that he wanted a couple, CB & CF everyone's best guess, window before not great, Zouma and Areola used, Kral and Vlasic not.

Vlasic was the Lingard replacement and it's been a total disaster.

If we're going to be a regular european side, we have to have a bigger squad that Moyes is happy to use

I was thinking Antonio should be used as an impact player next season, after we’ve signed the two strikers we so desperately need. But after yesterdays showing, I’m not even sure he’ll be up to that.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread FT 1-2
well im running on empty after that shit-show yesterday -attended all three games in a week when weve been "unlucky" three times but end up on our heads with a huge negative cloud around the club going into our most important match in decades

call me a fool but this team is on its last legs and we have nothing left in the tank or on the bench and for that the club and the management are 100% guilty - failiure to invest has cost us this season and next season too

Really dismal experience at the ground also flat and negaitve from the start0 gooners everywhere- some cunt was bowling around with a '72 arsenal shirt and his mate had a red and white scarf on - in 235 - security?> a fucking joke - took about 20 oif them to do nothing then the last i saw they were moving them back into the ground! The head of response security whatever was telling me " it s being dealt with " when it wasnt then started fliming me- I said brilliant make sure youve got the audio on and can hear me tell you how you lot arent even capable of following the rules you set- he switched the camera off the useless cunt

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread FT 1-2
I hear the argument, brents, but realistically I don't think a club that has qualified for Europe once should be carrying 5 central defenders on their books. I can't think of many/any that do.
We spend what (guessing) 10 million a year on the academy, and it's there for unfortunate situations like that.

As for the tiredness piece, as I said before, salah and Mane don't struggle with it despite playing pretty much every game for five years... including the 7 games at the AFCON this winter which had extra time and pens in the final. They've qualified for the champions league for 6 or 7 years in a row and only at Xmas have they added Luis Diaz that has enabled them to rotate to some degree. Look what two injuries at centre back did to their league campaign last season. Takes a long time, and sustained performance, to build a deep squad unless you're man City and Chelsea and I'd be amazed if anyone on here wanted to be like either of them.
Declan RICE doesn't look especially tired. Certainly didn't when he was playing frankfurt on his own in the second half. Tiredness really does seem to be something that effects crap players.

If Bowen was Salah then Ramsdale would have got at least a booking.

Ramsdale was at full speed and out of control.

Bowen was avoiding the contact not looking for it as that idiot Smith suggested. To think he has played footballl before. There is no way Bowen would be thinking let’s let Ramsdale snap my ankle in two pieces when I have a European cup semis final to play.

Even Ramsdale gave the game away. He said that Bowen has said there was no contact because he was avoiding getting hurt. That means Bowen was worried about the reckless challenge.
